Obituary
Wayne John Fahnestock, 75 of Apollo (Allegheny Twp.) passed away on Thursday May 5, 2022 at Quality Life Services in Apollo. He was born on Tuesday November 19, 1946 in Pittsburgh Pa. the son of the late John Fahnestock and Clara Rathel Fahnestock of Apollo. Before his retirement Wayne was employed as a Finance Officer for the CIA. He enjoyed camping, and all sports, especially college basketball and the Steelers. He was an avid runner, a history buff and most importantly, a loving and proud man who always put his family first. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Sharon Dickson Fahnestock, three children; Samuel Fahnestock and his wife Brittany of Saxonburg, Jennifer Schianvoni and her husband Andrew of Pittsburgh and John Fahnestock also of Pittsburgh, three grandchildren; Elijah, Atley and Deacon. In addition to his Father he was preceded in death by two brothers; Howard and John Fahnestock. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
