Sandra " Mawsy" Irene (Rumbaugh) Shannon

Sandra “Mawsy” Irene Rumbaugh Shannon, 76, of Avonmore, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Excela Health Greensburg Hospital in Greensburg, Pa. She was born on Monday, December 3, 1945 in Maysville, Pa, the daughter of the late Kenneth E. and Grace N. Dunmire Rumbaugh Endress. She was an avid reader, liked doing crossword puzzles and going to lunch at Dob-Bros Country Kitchen. She also enjoyed camping, the outdoors and nature; watching birds and wild flowers. She most loved her family and her soulmate of 60 years Pap. She is survived by her husband ;  John Elmer Shannon, her children; John George Shannon and his wife, Margo, of Washington Twp. and Scott Allen Shannon and his wife, Dawn, of Avonmore, 8 grandchildren,  her son in law, Jody Shearer (Christina) of Bell Twp. and her siblings, Martha Mack of Gasport, NY, Dawn Hayes of Rapid City, SD, James Rumbaugh of Avonmore, Kenneth Rumbaugh of Edmon, Gayle Sofaly of Vandergrift, Barry Rumbaugh and his wife, Dianna, of Avonmore, Joseph Endress of Clarksburg, David Endress and his wife, Patti, of Saltsburg and Lisa Flick of Tinsmill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter; Lisa Dawn Shearer, her siblings, Dale Rumbaugh, Karl Rumbaugh, Thomas Rumbaugh, Bonnie Elias, Judith Weister, Donna Shuster, Rose Ann Poloff and her step father; Joseph Carl Endress. Private graveside services will be conducted at Westview Cemetery in Avonmore, Pa., Pastor Lee Rupert will officate.
