Ruby Irene (Peppler) Clark

Ruby Irene Clark, 87, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. She passed peacefully with her loving husband and family by her side at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Ruby was born on Monday, July 24, 1933 in Parks Twp.; Vandergrift, Pa. to the late Russell S. and Lula Riffer Peppler. She graduated from Vandergrift High School. Ruby was a loving mother of 8 children and a wife of 69 years to her childhood sweetheart, Veryl “Jack” Clark. She raised her children on their farm in Parks Twp., Vandergrift, Pa. Besides spending time with her family and friends, Ruby had a passion for traveling, visiting family, gardening and cooking. Ruby enjoyed crossword puzzles and word search. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life. Ruby’s memory will be cherished and kept alive by her adoring husband, Veryl “Jack” Clark, her children, Patti Lynn Clark of Coraopolis, Pa, Denise Clark of Vandergrift, Pa, Layerd Clark of Vandergrift, Pa., Michael (Lisa) Clark of Deland, Fl., Jeff (Robin Blystone) Clark of Vandergrift, Pa., Amy (Bob) Shaffer of Vandergrift, Pa., Jill (Mike) Bemish of Lake Helens, Fl. and Trent Clark of Watkinsville, Ga., 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Russell Clark, a sister, Eileen Kovack and a brother, Don Peppler. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to celebrate her life at St. Paul’s Highfield Lutheran Church on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ryan Pusch, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hillman Center-UPMC Cancer Pavilion, Suite 1B, 5150 Centre Ave., Pittsburgh, Pa. 15232 or hillmanresearch.upmc.edu in honor of Ruby.
