Ronald Paul (Sr.) Griffis

Ronald Paul Griffis Sr., 67, of Erie, Pa., passed away on Tuesday,  February 9, 2021 at Western Reserve Nursing Home in in Erie, Pa., after a short illness.  He was born on Thursday, August 13, 1953 in Erie, Pa, the son of the late John L. Griffis Sr. and Ida Carr Griffis Grimler. He worked at Erie Forge as a machinist, was a member of the Carriage Hill Wesleyan Church and attended Glenwood Methodist Church. Ronald was a simple man who loved his children and grandchildren very much. He is survived by his children, Christie Robbins McGuire, Heather Griffis Ester and her husband, Jim, Ronald Griffis Jr. and Julia Griffis, his grandchildren, Teja, Trent, Aidan, Emma, Nicholas, Dominic, Avery, Evan, Connor, Hunter, Brennan, Crystal and Kenzi and several nieces, nephews and cousins and an uncle.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John L. Griffis Jr. and David Griffis and a grandson, Anthony Ester. All funeral arrangements were private.
