Roger Elwood Dane Jr.

Roger Elwood Dane Jr., 68, of Washington, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Washington Hospital. He was born on Friday, September 11, 1953 in Park Falls, Wisconsin, the son of the late Roger Sr. and Sarah Pifer Dane. Roger had a passion for music, particularly his involvement with the drum and bugle corp; marching in the drum corps including the St. Matthias Cadets, Royal Crusaders and Mariners.  He liked doing crossword puzzles, spending time with his pets, and working on projects at home and for his community. He loved baking for and spending time with his family and friends. Roger was a proud member of the Washington community but grew up in Milwaukee, WI. Roger’s greatest joys in life were being a father to his children and loving husband to his late wife, Betsy Dane. He is survived by his son, Adam (Sameerah) and his daughter, Sarah (Andrew), his sister, Sue (Jim Kotter) and his brother, Michael Dane. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Roger’s memory to your area’s humane society. A Memorial Service will be held at the Elks Lodge in Washington, Pa. on Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
