Richard Michael “Chick’ Tandaric 78 of Saltsburg (Conemaugh Twp.) passed away Friday, March 20, 2020 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born Friday, February 13, 1942 in Tinsmill, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Peter G. and Pearl P. Polechko Tandaric. Before his retirement, “Chick” worked for over thirty-five years at National Roll in Avonmore as a heat treater. He was of the Catholic Faith. He enjoyed hunting, wood working, gardening and time spent with family. He is survived by his companion of over forty years Mary Ann Galinac, three children; Richard A. Tandaric and his wife, Pam, Michael Tandaric, and Sheri A. Strong (Tim King) all of Avonmore, four grandchildren; Sadie, Rachael, and Ricky Tandaric and Drake Strong, seven great-grandchildren and a brother Robert “Shadow” Tandaric and his wife, Marsha,of Spring Church. Due to the present health concerns and our concern for our families, ALL Visitation and parting prayer services will be private. Interment will be held in Westview Cemetery, Avonmore.
