Phyllis Val Jean Kohn Anthony 92, of Apollo passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021 at her home. She was born on Saturday, March 16, 1929 in Brackenridge, Pa. the daughter of the late Charles Albert and Ethel Marie Cratty (Weaver) Kohn. Phillis loved to play bingo, work on puzzle books, watch QVC and was an avid Steeler fan. But her true passion was crocheting. She learned to navigate Facebook so that she could keep up with the lives of her grandchildren. She is survived by her three daughters; Donna Anthony-Thompson and her husband Jay of Freeport, Linda Hill of Avonmore, and Amy Sapinsky of Apollo, eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Rinard Anthony Jr., two children; Earl Rinard “Pidge” Anthony III, and Shelly Duso, three sisters; June Myers, Elizabeth Riggle , and Goldie Weaver, and her brother, Allen Weaver. A Memorial Service will be conducted on Monday November 22, 2021 at 4:00 P.M. at the New Beginnings United Methodist Church, 1559 State Route 56 East, Apollo with Pastor Brenda Schall officiating. In lieu of flowers family suggests contributions be made in Phyllis’s memory to the New Beginnings United Methodist Church.
