Melissa Kay Mannella DeFalco, 51, of Leechburg (Allegheny Twp.), Pa., passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at her home. She was born on Wednesday, October 29, 1969 in Sharon, Pa., the daughter of Ed and Jacqueline Moffatt Mannella. She was a hairstylist for Headlines Hair Designs in Allegheny Township. Melissa was a good military wife who traveled all over the world with her husband. Melissa enjoyed going to bingo, was an avid reader, loved animals and decorating her home. She loved her children more than anything and was an amazing mother. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 29 years, Michael Anthony DeFalco, her sons, Zachary M. DeFalco of Bridgeport, WV and Jacob A. DeFalco of Allegheny Twp., Pa., her sister, Christine Smith and her husband, Greg, of Shelby, Oh., her brothers, Phillip Mannella and his wife, Leanne, of Forsyth, Ga., Daniel Bowser of Shelby, Oh. and her mother-in-law, Susanne Hoover DeFalco. She was preceded in death by her son, Dominic James “Nico” DeFalco in April of 2020 and her father-in-law, Steven C. DeFalco. Family will receive friends on Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the North Apollo Church of God, 507 20th Street, North Apollo, Pa. 15673. Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 3, 2021 at the North Apollo Church of God with Pastor Lee Rupert, officiating. A private interment will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell, Pa.
