Mary Ann Dunmire

Mary Ann Dunmire 91, of North Apollo passed away Friday November 6, 2020 at her home. She was born on Saturday September 7, 1929 in North Apollo the daughter of the late Jesse Brian and Mary Elma Stitt McIlwain.  Before her retirement Mary Ann was a Manager for a Motel and also several Apartments. She was a very active member of the First Faith Lutheran Church in Apollo, where she loved to volunteer her time. She also volunteered at the Public Library and the North Apollo VFD Auxiliary. She was a member of a card club that began in 1948 and faithfully continued through 2018. She also participated in a TOPS club, loved Jigsaw puzzles, and a challenging crossword puzzle. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Dunmire (Lee Fairman) of North Apollo, and a brother, William McIlwain of Shady Plain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ivan Russell Dunmire, 3 sisters; Dorothy Kennedy, Janet L. McIlwain, and Ruth Cunningham, and two brothers; Frederick and Jim McIlwain.  Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday November 10, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at her church, the First Faith Lutheran Church in Apollo. A Mask is required and proper protocol will be followed.  Pastor Phil Ramstad and her nephew Michael McIlwain will officiate. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell, Pa.
