Kenneth Bergey Obituary

Kenneth James Bergey was born on January 26, 1962 in Clearfield PA. He lived his entire life in PA, the past few years in Kiski Township. He passed away peacefully on July 22, 2022 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh PA.

Ken graduated in 1980 from Apollo Ridge High School and Lenape AVTS with HVAC as his course of study.

He was employed by Kennametal as a furnace programmer/operator from 1995 to 2019.

Ken loved fishing, hunting and spending time at camp with friends and family.  He was an avid fan of the Penguins and the Steelers.  Ken had a t-shirt for almost every day of the year and for almost every charitable cause you can think of.

Ken had an easy-going manner and a quick, genuine smile.  He was a dear and loyal friend to so many.  He called his friends "brother" or "sister."  To know Ken was to love him.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Pauline M.(Price) and Felix J. Bergey.  He is survived by his son, Alec, his aunt Barbara Ghaner of Altoona; sisters Linda (Jerry) Ridenour of Washington Township., Joni (Mark) Ranchik of Baldwin and brothers William Bergey of Apollo, Kevin (Ken's twin) of Indiana PA and Joseph (Diana) Bergey of Seneca SC.  He will be greatly missed by  his nieces and nephews; Michael (Alissa) Dixon, Jennifer (Jeff) Schaefer, his Godson Andrew (Kim) Bonelli, Alex (Erica) Bonelli, Justine Billotte Cable, Hannah, Katherine, Melissa and Melanie Bergey and many cousins and great nieces and great nephews.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at both Allegheny Valley Hospital and Allegheny General Hospital, especially the Palliative Care team at AGH.

Kens final needs are being tended to by Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home.  It was Ken's wish to have no public viewing or services. A celebration of Ken's life will be announced at a later date.

If you wish to make a memorial contribution the family suggests and organization to benefit The Veterans or an animal cause.
