Joseph Charles Galo

Joseph Charles Galo, 72, of Avonmore, Pa. (Bell Twp.), passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at his home. He was born on Wednesday, March 30, 1949 in Tinsmill, Pa., the son of the late William and Anna Rossi Galo. Joe was a licensed amateur HAM radio operator (WB3LKM).He liked hunting, the outdoors, camping at Hicks Run in Elk County, drag racing at Keystone Raceway and restoring cars. Joe enjoyed building and modifying engines. His interest in learning something new always kept him busy. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pamela Jean Watkins Galo, his children; Stacy Boyd and her husband, Don, of Daphne, Al.,Joseph Michael Galo and his wife, Meredith of Saltsburg, 4 grandchildren; Jacob and Timothy Boyd and Joey and Megan Galo and his brother; George Galo and his wife, Joyce, of Edmon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother; William “Bill” Galo. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home LTD, 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. Services will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 8:00 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Lee Rupert, officiating. Interment will be private.
