Joseph John Beitel, Jr.

Joseph John Beitel, Jr, 74 of Saltsburg, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Select Specialty Care in Latrobe.  He was born on Monday, February 17, 1947, in Saltsburg, PA, the son of the late Joseph J (Sr) and Eleanor Poole Beitel.  Before his retirement, Joe was employed by Bell Township Municipal Authority in their maintenance department.  He was a 1965 graduate of Saltsburg High School.  He enjoyed going to Lernerville Speedway, working on cars, dancing, especially polkas, and especially cherished time spent with family.  He is survived by five children, Loretta Jean Beitel of Saltsburg, Joseph W. Beitel and his wife, Theresa, of Avonmore, Dennis J Beitel Sr., and his wife, Kim, of Saltsburg, James R Beitel and his wife, Lori, of Saltsburg and Candace Jo Camarote and her husband, Carl, of Latrobe.  Ten grandchildren, Shasta Beitel (Ron Bush) of Saltsburg, Tyler Beitel and his wife, Tiffany, of Apollo, Chelsea Humberston, and her husband, David, of Plum, Alexandra Beitel, (John Ray) of Apollo, Dennis J Beitel, Jr., and his wife, Khylie, of Waddell, Arizona, Dominic Beitel, of Pittsburgh, Jimmy Beitel of Greensburg, Jenna Beitel of Saltsburg, Arianne Camarote and Damen Camarote of Latrobe.  Nine great grandchildren, Madelyn, Kendall, Ella, Elliott, Pippa, Bronte, Adrian, Amelia and Cole.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Louise Reed Beitel.  Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home, LTD, 400 Indiana Avenue, Avonmore, PA  15618.  Services will be conducted Wednesday, September 29, 2021, in the funeral home at 11:00 AM with Pastor Keith McCutcheon officiating.  Interment will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg, PA.
