Dorothy Elizabeth Battistelli

Dorothy Elizabeth Battistelli, 99, of Greensburg, Pa., formerly of Saltsburg, Pa, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at  Newhaven Court at Lindwood in Greensburg, Pa. She was born on Saturday, April 2, 1921 in Foster, Pa., the daughter of the late Gabriel and Mary Louise Domiano Battistelli. Before her retirement, she worked as a cocktail waitress for multiple restaurants in the Pittsburgh area. She was a member of Saint Matthew Roman Catholic Church in Saltsburg, Pa. She enjoyed polka dancing, socializing with people and loved to travel to California, Florida and Las Vegas. Aunt Dort was much loved by her family and friends. She is survived by her 2 sisters, Helen Cup of Nowrytown and Genevieve Rossi of Saltsburg and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Albert, Archie, Christy and Rudolph “Todd” Battistelli, her sisters, Gayety Corridoni and Jean Kokladas and her longtime friend, Carl Nichol. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home LTD, 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. Due to COVID-19 concerns and our concerns for our families, MASKS ARE MANDATORY AND SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES MUST BE FOLLOWED. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church, 703 Indiana Ave., Saltsburg, Pa. with Father John Harrold as celebrant. Interment will be held at Westview Cemetery in Avonmore, Pa.
