Denise Peace Obituary

Denise L. Pakutz Peace, 67, of Apollo, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with her illness.  She was born Friday, October 26, 1956, the daughter of the late Nick Pakutz and the late Louise Nagy Guntrum.  Denise worked at the Salvation Army Thrift Store as a sorter for numerous years prior to her illness.  She was an avid Steeler fan.  Loved to watch lifetime movies, hanging out with family and friends around the bonfire, and listening to country music.  She was a firecracker and will be greatly missed.  Denise is survived by her husband, Louis Peace, of Apollo, a daughter, Ashley Peace, of New Kensington, her grandson, Garrett Kerr (who she truly cherished) and her son-in-law, Matt Kerr.  She is also survived by two brothers, Greg Pakutz and Jeff Pakutz, and his wife Lorrie, all of Butler, a sister, Nikki Haffner, and her husband, Rocky, of Eugene, Oregon.  Also survived by her sister-in-law’s and brother-in-law’s; Mary Sidick, Marlene Peace, Mellissa Peace, Mike Peace and Steven Peace all of Apollo.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her in-laws, Elizabeth “Betty” and Louis “Mack” Peace.  The family would like to give a special thank you to Good Samaritan Hospice for the services they provided for Denise during her illness.  At Denise’s request, there will be no viewing and funeral services are private.
