David E. Branthoover 70 of Vandergrift passed away on Wednesday February 10, 2021 at Allegheny Valley Hospital. He was born Friday May 5, 1950 in Pittsburgh the son of the late Leland E. Branthoover and Carolyn (Ray) Branthoover.
David was a graduate of Kiski Area High School and went on to graduate from drafting school in Pittsburgh. He worked at Papercraft, Composide Inc. and spent the last fifteen years at Pittsburgh Mills. David enjoyed hunting and fishing and at one time had been a volunteer fireman in Vandergrift. He loved history, his pet beagles and antiquing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Branthoover, his uncle, Harold Edwin Branthoover and his brother in laws, Jack Jaros and James Curran.
He is survived by his daughter, Cortney Branthoover (Owen Sprod) of Tasmania, a brother, Harry (LouAnn) Branthoover, and two sisters, Susan Jaros and Nancy Curran, all of Vandergrift. He is also survived by his aunt, Janice Matrunics, one nephew, Matthew Curran (Shawna Vallozzi,) one niece, Jacqueline (Peter) Donisanu and two great nieces and one great nephew (Lillian, Mae and Jack.)
