Arthur Lawrence Junstrom

Arthur L. Junstrom, 74, of Monroeville, Pa. passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at his home after a prolonged illness.  He was born on Wednesday, August 27, 1947 in Homestead, Pa., the son of the late Arthur R. and Ella Kubasek Junstrom.  Art attended West Mifflin South High School and graduated from Penn State University. His entire career was spent with U.S. Steel Corporation in the Accounting/Finance Departments at both the Fairless Hills, Pa. plant and the corporate office in Pittsburgh.  Art loved to travel; good food and he always enjoyed a good cigar and a Coors Light while cheering on his beloved Nittany Lions. He always made time for his precious grandchildren and adorned his home with their many photos and art projects.  He was the cherished husband of JoAnn Junstrom (Rittinger/Allen). Art is survived by his sons; Chris Havrilla (Angela) of Pittsburgh and Jeff Junstrom (Meagan) of Pittsburgh and Matt Junstrom (Jennifer) of Hudson, OH., a sister, Marsha Meghdadpour of Dallas, TX, his stepsons, Eric Allen (Marcie Conn), Matt Allen and Neil Allen (Melissa Bogesdorfer) all of Pittsburgh, 10 grandchildren that he adored and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother; Dan Junstrom. All funeral arrangements were private. Memorial will be private. Donations can be made to St. Jude Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnel to Towers.
