Shirley Ann (Bongianino) Kozub

Shirley Ann Marie Bongianino Kozub, 79, of Saltsburg (Young Township) passed away Friday, January 25, 2019, at Beacon Ridge in Indiana, PA.  She was born, Wednesday, January 3, 1940 in Blairsville, PA, the daughter of the late Peter and Francesca Vidano Bongianino. She was a member of St. Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church in Blairsville.  She enjoyed baking, cooking and macramé.  She also enjoyed time spent with family, especially her grandchildren.  Her home was her palace and she loved spending time there and in her immaculate flower gardens.  She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Daniel I. Kozub Sr., two sons, Daniel I. Kozub, Jr. of Indiana and Perry M. Kozub and his wife, Shirley, of Elders Ridge, four grandchildren, Jennifer Weiland and her husband, Joe, of Nicktown, PA, John Whetsel, and his wife, Jennifer, of Enterprise, Alabama, Michael Kozub of Templeton, and Matthew Kozub of Elders Ridge, 4 great grandchildren, Mason and Madison Whetsel, and Hannah and Connor Weiland.  One brother, Tullio “Fritz” Bongianino of Blairsville, four sisters, Vera Zilka of Tarentum, Gloria Locati of Maryland, Nancy Fox and her husband, Don, of Florida and Sandy Kline and her husband, Matt, of Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews.  Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 2PM to 4PM and from 6PM to 8PM in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home, LTD, 400 Indiana Avenue, Avonmore, PA  15618.  Parting prayer services will be held Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 10AM in the funeral home with Father Stephen Bugay officiating.  Interment will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg, PA.
