Raymond Gary Szalanczy

Raymond Gary Szalanczy, 63, of Moween, passed away, Sunday, February 24, 2019 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born Saturday, March 12, 1955, in Monroeville, the son of Raymond Earl and Francis Colbert Szalanczy.  He was a member of the Union 1451-Labors Union in Latrobe, he enjoyed spending time with friends and family at camp, loved to hunt and fish and also riding his motorcycle.   He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Janice Holmes Szalanczy, 2 children, Matthew Szalanczy and his wife, Susan, of Delmont, Christopher Szalanczy and his wife, Victoria, of Slickville, two step-children, Christian Steuernagel and his wife, Melanie, of Delmont and Alisha Schall and her husband, Terry, of Derry, one sister, Patricia Benlorf, of Philadelphia, and Wayne Szalanczy of Export; 7 grandchildren, Shawn Sperlik, Christopher Szalanczy, Jr., Aubrey, Sadie and Grace Steuernagel, Sabastian, and Elleigh Ann Schall, 3 nieces and 1 nephew.  At his request, all arrangements are private
