Merle Leroy Jamison, 85, of Shelocta, Pa. passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Beacon Ridge in Indiana, Pa. He was born Thursday, September 22, 1932 in South Bend Twp. (Girty), the son of the late James R. and Mary E. Kelly Jamison. Before his retirement, he drove truck over the road for Rischel-Raider Trucking and then helped out with his daughter’s business, Robert & Bev’s Truck Accessory Center LLC in Indiana for 15 years. He was a member of the West Lebanon Church of God. He was a United States Korean veteran. He was a member of the Wood Turning Association. He enjoyed wood turning, hunting, camping, doing jig saw puzzles and word search’s, and especially loved his cats. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia Jean Dobrosky Jamison, 2 daughters, Debra D. McMunn and her husband Ken of Girty, Gail Pierce and her husband James of Creekside, 6 grandchildren, Lauren Stover and her husband Torin of Colorado Springs, Co., Jacob McMunn, Aaron McMunn, Colt Stewart, Haley Miller and her husband Justin of Creekside and Haiden Pierce and his wife Marah of Indiana, 3 great grandchildren, Autumn Rose Stover, Will Vivian and Brielle Miller and a sister, Martha E. Hancock of East Palestine, Oh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Robert I. Jamison, a sister Barbara Jamison and 3 siblings in infancy. Family will receive friends on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 2PM to 5PM at the West Lebanon Church of God, 150 Blackleggs Rd., West Lebanon, Pa. Funeral services will follow at 5PM with Pastor John Mark Henry, officiating. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations be made in Merle’s memory to the West Lebanon Church of God, 150 Blackleggs Rd., West Lebanon, Pa. 15783. Interment will be private.
