Linda May (Shaner) Newell

Linda May Shaner Newell 68 of New Alexandria passed away Saturday April 27, 2019 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg.  She was born September 25, 1950 in Iselin the daughter of the late Albert R. and Shirley May Hockenberry Shaner.  She was employed for over 12 years as a Ward Clerk at West Haven Manor in Washington Twp. Linda liked to read, enjoyed playing cards and crocheting. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Yeager and her husband Chris of Saltsburg, two grandchildren; Shelby Yeager (Carlos) of Philadelphia, and Rachel Yeager of Saltsburg, Three great grandchildren; Emma, Conner, and Akira,  three sisters; Cindy Dice and her husband Ken, Jody Claypool and her husband Lee, and Sandi Rose all of Saltsburg, three brothers; Albert Shaner and his wife Monna of Loyalhanna Twp., William Deditch of Grafton, West Virginia, and Richard Shaner of Saltsburg. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son in infancy, Ronald Shondelmyer. Family will receive friends on Tuesday April 30, 2019 from 3:00P.M. until time of services at 7:00 P.M. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 400 Indiana Ave. Avonmore, Pa. Services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Lee Rupert officiating. Interment will be private.
