Jennie Lee Salo Risher, 73, of Avonmore, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019 at UPMC East in Monroeville. She was born Tuesday, December 18, 1945 in Avonmore, the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Verna M. Shirley Salo. She was a member of the Hebron Lutheran Church in Avonmore. Jennie enjoyed canning, sewing, cooking and baking. She was a foster mother for 14 years. She will be most remembered for her tremendous sense of humor and how much she loved her family. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Clarence W. “Bill” Risher, 3 daughters, Sandy Shaner and her husband, William, of Tinsmill, Carolle Risher D’Ambrosio of Tinsmill, and Shivone Pisarcik and her husband, Jason, of Brownstown and a son, Michael Risher of Tinsmill, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, a brother Fred Salo and his wife, Sally, of Treesmills, 2 sisters, Janet Petro of Home and Sue Porter and her husband, William, of Tinsmill and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home LTD, 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, September 6, 2019 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Keith McCutcheon, officiating. Interment will be at Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont, Pa.
