Helmut William Paschold, PHD, CSP, CIH, 65, of Apollo, Pa., passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born Sunday, June 27, 1954 in Newark, New Jersey, the son of the late Helmut H. and Friedl Sommer Paschold. He was a member of St. Thomas More University Parish. Helmut was an Associate Professor at I.U.P. He was a proud member of the American Society of Safety Professionals for 41 years, Brother of Iota Kapa Phi, the president of Paschold & Associates Safety consultants, a member of the German Club and Teutonia Mannerchor and a “professional door opener and feeder of Neapolitan Mastiffs”. He loved listening to music and had a passion for craft beer, coin collecting and marklin trains. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Isabelle Cancellare, 6 children, Erica Rose Paschold and Evan Peters, of Ashville, NC., Michelle Lynn Paschold of Portland, OR., Charles William Paschold of Orlando, FL., Ryan Christopher Fulton and Katherine Ann Pfohl , of Buffalo, NY., Zachary Michael Fulton of Bainbridge Islands, WA. and Hannah Marie Fulton of Portland, OR., 3 granddaughters, Everest Roo Peters, Adalou Lee Fulton and Erlie Wray Fulton, a brother, Hilmar Arno Paschold of Bayville, NJ. and a sister, Henrietta Lisa Levis and her husband, Robert, of Colorado Spring, CO. and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas More University Parish, 1200 Oakland Ave., Indiana, Pa. Interment is private.
