Helen May (Barnes) Morgan

Helen May Barnes Morgan, 86, of Apollo, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot , Pa. She was born on Sunday, May 29, 1932 in Kittanning, Pa., the daughter of the late James B. and Evelyn L. Barr Barnes. Helen was a member of the First United Church of Christ, the Apollo Area Community Center and the Apollo Area Historical Society.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband and son, going on bus trips, sewing, cooking, baking, gardening and volunteering at local community events.  She is survived by her son, Alan Dale Morgan, of Apollo, a brother, Don Barnes and his wife, Helen, of Pulaski Twp., a sister, Deanna Lanigan of Rochester and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Dale Morgan in 2001 and 2 brothers, Bill and Gene Barnes. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 2PM at the First United Church of Christ, 212 Second St., Apollo, Pa. Interment was held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Riverview Cemetery in Apollo. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Helen’s memory to the First United Church of Christ, 212 Second St., Apollo, Pa. or the Apollo Area Historical Society, 317 n 2nd St., Apollo, Pa. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home LTD, 1916 Moore Ave., North Apollo, Pa.
