Edward Jonathan Myers

Edward Jonathan Myers, 81, of North Apollo, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019, at his home.  He was born Saturday, May 14, 1938, in Gilpin Township, the son of the late Harry A and Ida May Myers.  Before his retirement in 1981, he was a brick maker at General Refractories in Salina. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Loved sitting under his car port in his back yard watching the river.  He had a God given gift for carpentry.  He loved his dog, Charlie, and his family was his most treasured possession.  He is survived by his daughters, Terri Emehizer and her husband, Kevin, of Canonsburg, Michelle McMunn and her husband, Alan, of Kiski Township and Patricia Altmire of Leechburg.  His grandchildren; Kevin Emehizer of Crafton, Brad (Jess) Emehizer of Canonsburg, Amanda McMunn of Apollo, Andera McMunn of North Apollo, Amber McMunn of Kiski Township, Haley Altmire of Leechburg and Dylan Altmire of Kiski Township, his great grandchildren, Sidney Carpenter, Ian Rugh, Jaiden, Rya, Abby and Tobey Emehizer, Makenzie Carlson, Bently Altmire and Marlee Cooper.  Two brothers, Ray Myers and his wife, Pat, of Salina, Jim Myers and his wife, Ann, also of Salina , a sister, Phyllis White and her husband, Ron, of Saltsburg and a brother-in-law, Daniel Stone of Apollo.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Myers, two sisters, Hazel Grantz, and Sarah Shearer, two brothers, Harry “Bud” Myers and Walt Myers, and a grandson, Jonathan Emehizer.  Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, from 4:00 PM until time of services at 8:00 PM in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home, LTD, 1916 Moore Avenue, North Apollo, PA  Services will be conducted at 8:00 PM with Pastor Robert Shallenberger officiating.  Interment will be held in Riverview Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
