Donald Jack Deforno Sr.

Donald Jack Deforno, Sr., 85, of Kiski Township passed away, Sunday, November 11, 2018 at his home.  He was born Thursday, March 9, 1933, in Bell Township, the son of the late Marion J. and Mary Bell Deforno.  Before his retirement in 1995, he worked at National Roll in Avonmore. He was a United States Army Veteran.   Don was a member of the Salina Bible Church.  He was an avid hunter, and fisherman.  He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.  He is survived by three sons, Donald J. Deforno, Jr., and his wife, LeAnn, of Bradford, Pa, Ronald Deforno and his wife, Wendy, of Tampa, FL, and Mark Deforno and his wife, Amanda, of Apollo., a daughter, Susan Petrilla and her husband, Randal, of Kiski Township, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, 7 sisters, Luella L Jupiter of FL, Patricia Leonard of Saltsburg, Betty Pierce and her husband, Sonny, of Dilltown, PA, Shirley Clutts and her husband, Phil, of Charlotte, NC., Sally Lawrence and her husband, Malcolm, of Silver Spring, MD, Kathleen Grabloski and her husband, Ron, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Mary Summers and her husband, Steve, of Silver Spring, MD, 2 brothers, George Deforno and his wife, Naomi, of Bell Township, and Daniel Deforno and his wife, Becky, of Saltsburg.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorcas L. Shirley Deforno, in 2016, a grandson, Matthew Aaron Deforno, and a sister, Valerie Brinker.  He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 5PM to 8PM in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home, LTD., 400 Indiana Avenue, Avonmore, PA  15618 and an additional hour of visitation will take place Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 10AM until the time of services at 11AM.  Pastor Paul Reiner will officiate.  Interment will follow at Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg, PA.
