Jeffrey Scott "Hip" McGregor

Jeffrey Scott “Hip” McGregor 50 of Saltsburg passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital in Latrobe, Pa., after a brave and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was born Tuesday, May 23, 1967 in Dover, Delaware at the Dover Air Force Base, the son of F. Daniel and Bonnie J. Corridoni McGregor. Before his illness, Jeff worked in shipping and receiving at IUP for over 14 years and was a 1985 graduate of Saltsburg High School and continued his education at IUP in Elementary Education. Jeff was a member of Saint Matthew Roman Catholic Church in Saltsburg. He loved to hunt, golf, coach his own children and other children in baseball, basketball and midget football and was a member of the Nowrytown Sportsman’s Club. Jeff was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan and loved watching him race. He was a season ticket holder for the Steelers and loved going to the games. He will always be remembered as someone who enjoyed and loved being with his family and spending time with friends. Jeff loved the ocean and his trips to Ocean City, Md. In addition to his parents, his is survived by 3 children, Jeffrey Daniel McGregor (Rachel Pommer) of Saltsburg, Jordan Daniel McGregor (Seneca Nagy) of Avonmore and Kaylee McGregor of Los Angeles, Ca. and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Herman and Gayety Battistelli Corridoni, and his paternal grandparents, Daniel B. and Elaine Kennedy McDivitt, and Ralph M. McGregor. Family will receive friends on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 3PM to 9PM in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home LTD., 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 10AM at Saint Matthew Roman Catholic Church in Saltsburg with Father Salvatore Lamendola, as celebrant. Interment will be held at the Edgewood Cemetery in Saltsburg.
